Kolping India group of Bangalore urban conducted programmes under Awareness training on village Mapping for VDC/VLKF on 13th September 2020. In the village of Begur, Ignatius Church. Mr. Kiran the congress president of Begur block was the resource person. 30 people participated in the programme.
The content of the programme: Social mapping, Resource mapping, Analysed and found out the problem of that locality and listed out the problems according to the priority.
Explained the needs and the importance of village mapping Chart drawing about the source and the outline of the village. Presenting the chart drawing on the ground for the detailed analysis. Preparing the document based on the resource and problem. Rev.Fr. Arokya Swami encouraged the group by offering an amount of Rs. 10,000/- and enlightened to have many more groups in every street.
VDC and VLKF members had knowledge of their local resources and the problems. They were eager to know their local situation by this mapping and discussion. Mutual sharing and contribution was presented during the session.
Feedback: The problems of the village were discussed in the meeting and they believe that they can overcome and solve certain problems.
