HIV/AIDS day celebration was held at Bangarpet on 01st December, 2017. It was an initiative taken by BMSSS in collaboration
with Kindermissionswerk, Germany where the present project of spreading awareness on HIV/AIDS is happening.
Children from Kolar, KGF, Malur and Bangarpet had participated in the program.
The program began with the rally from Government High school and college and ended in Church hall where the celebration was held. Students actively participated in the rally. They shouting slogan holding the puck cards and made the public aware about the deadly decease. They also cautioned the public to remove the social discrimination and to take proper precautions when infected with HIV/AIDS. The whole message was to stop the spread of HIV/AIDS completely from the society.
The major part of the program took place at church hall, Bangarpet. Various officials from Health department, police department, forest department and schools teachers were invited for the program. The director of BMSSS addressed the gathering and thanked all the departments for giving permission and helping our project staff to spread awareness in different schools. The chief guest of the program from the DAPCO department spoke on HIV/AIDS impact on society and cautioned the children to know and share the knowledge with others. He also encouraged them to be a responsible and healthy citizen. Later, the children of HIV club formed by BMSSS performed skit on the impact of HIV/AIDS and gave a beautiful message. The children who participated in essay and drawing competition were given prizes. Sharing session from children about the classes on HIV/AIDS was done. At the end one of our Project staff Mrs. Laxmamma thanked the whole congregation.
