BMSSS in collaboration with Meredith India services Pvt Ltd, Bangalore had organized training program on Mich animals for farmers . This life sustenance activity is funded by Meredith India company as CSR program. The company was very much interested to support the cause of farmers. Their main intention is that the downtrodden farmers should come up in life and adapt life sustenance activity for their growth. Through the intervention of BMSSS, A study report was submitted to Meredith India which in turn accepted and later came forward to provide Milch animals to poor and needy farmers which is one of the life sustenance activity to farmers.
The Program was conducted at Bettada ulsoor, Kanakapura Taluk on 07th January, 2021. Ten Beneficiaries were selected from nearby villages of Kanakapura taluk based on different parameters. These farmers are very poor and do not have any land as an asset. They are moreover daily wage workers and do not have anything for life sustenance. These beneficiaries were selected by BMSSS and an orientation was given to them. Mrs. Sumithra, Secretary of Milch Dairy, Arakere, was the resource person. She elaborated the usage of milch cows, the ways we need to look after, fodder and medicine for cows, and other precautionary aspects relating to cows was touched upon. Fr Chritopher, Parish Priest of the local place motivated the beneficiaries to make use of this fund and grow a step ahead. At the end of the program cheques were distributed for the beneficiaries and few beneficiaries thanked the donor agency for their support and encouragement towards farmers. The program was ended with lunch
